Get Started on the Right Path

Take Root Milwaukee recommends that everyone start on the path to homeownership by working with a HUD-approved Housing Counseling Agency. Individuals that complete 8-hours of homebuyer education will learn budgeting techniques, reveiw their credit, learn about financing options, and discover how to work with a Realtor and choose a home. Housing counseling agencies will also determine if you qualify for special homeownership programs like down payment assistance, tax credits or other grant programs.
