ACTS Housing
ACTS makes it possible for low income families to become home owners. They provide financial counseling, real estate brokerage, rehab expertise, and through ACTS Lending, Inc., rehab loans, so that low income families can viably purchase a home and make it safe and livable. ACTS provides all these services through local churches in three target neighborhoods.

GreenPath Financial Wellness
GreenPath is proud to be one of the largest and most respected credit counseling agencies in the nation. A GreenPath housing advisor can help you understand the home buying process and prepare you for the requirements of home ownership. They are an excellent resource if you feel you have financial issues/concerns you would like to work out prior to beginning to homebuying process.

Habitat for Humanity
To qualify for a Habitat home or a rehab project you must be a first-time homebuyer with inadequate housing. Inadequate housing includes a housing situation that is unsafe, too expensive, too crowded or has structural problems with water, electrical or sewage systems. If you are living in subsidized or transitional housing, such as Section 8, you may qualify.

Housing Resources Inc
Take the first step to homeownership and attend one of HRI's HomeWorks for Homebuyers Education Workshops. Monthly workshops are designed to provide an extensive overview of the home buying process. Find out if purchasing a home is right for you; what you need to know before you purchase a home; and learn about the role of real estate professionals in your purchase. Completion of education classes is required for most down payment and closing cost grants as well as many special loan products.

United Community Center
UCC hosts monthly Free Homebuyer Seminars that educate attendees on the process of buying a home. These sessions are great place to start if you are buying your first home. UCC’s two-part education series is offered in English and Spanish and provides you with opportunity to learn the overall process of buying a home, gets you pre-qualified for a mortgage loan, educates you on available grants and earns you a Homebuyer certificate.
